Welcome to U3A Granite Belt

Anyone who stops learning is old, whether twenty or eighty.
Anyone who keeps learning stays young.

Henry Ford

“Learning in your later years is proven to benefit your
physical health and your overall wellbeing.”

U3A is a volunteer organisation that promotes healthy ageing by sharing interests, skills, knowledge, and good company. U3A creates a friendly environment to experience educational, creative, and leisure activities provided by and for members.

U3A refers to the third age or ‘stage of life’. While anyone over the age of 18 may join, the concept of U3A is to take advantage of the time often afforded later in life to learn, teach, and socialise.

Currently U3A Granite Belt serves approximately 70+ members who live in Stanthorpe and surrounds in Queensland.
